Farewell to Deacons

FAREWELL TO DEACONS

30 SEPTEMBER 2016

Date: 30 September 2016

The Fourth Year Students of Theology or the Deacons of our community were accorded a farewell on 30 September 2016. The programme included poems felicitating the deacons and party games and presentation of funny awards for the deacons. Fr. Joseph Felix Michael, during the address to the deacons said that Priesthood is a very beautiful gift from God and that we are called by him for a purpose. Dn. George Clyment, the Class Representative, thanked one and all on behalf of the deacons. He thanked God for the unmerited gift of the priestly vocation. He thanked all who have stood by them in their journey – parents, priests, benefactors, well-wishers and friends and relatives, and formators in the seminary – the rectors, prefects, deans. He also thanked the support staff of the seminary and all the fellow seminarians. He also had a word of appreciation for the well maintained infrastructure and the spiritual atmosphere of the seminary which helped them greatly in their priestly formation.
